LAB MEETINGS and how to take advantage of them
1. Come PREPARED!!! YOU MUST MAKE A WEEKLY LAB slide that describe your work. The Corthals Lab Google slide deck helps Dr. C understand where you are in your research, and you will have to present at the weekly lab meetings.
2. A great way to be prepared is to present briefly (5mins) a reference for your project that you have read in the past week (especially grad students) - Advice to be prepared for the lab meetings can be found in the intro slides of the Corthals Lab slide deck.
3. The google slides deck: you have to be granted access to it. It is better to do so with a Gmail address, if you have one. The slide deck can be found on the Corthals Lab Google Drive
4. If you need to order chemicals or supplies, there is a procedure explained in the Corthals Lab slides, and in the Corthals Lab Manual (which you will have to sign as proof you have read and understood it) - Chemicals and ordering can be discussed at Lab meetings, but will ultimately be the responsibility of the student to get a quote and, if you are a graduate, to order them.
